MORJIM BEACH GOA

Morjim beach Goa is another famous beach in Goa in the Pernem town to the northern part of Chapora River. It is famous as the best beach in Goa with a calm and serene environment. The beach is a favourite destination of many tourists having plenty of restaurants and cottages. The beach gives pleasant views of the attractive bird species here like Seagulls, Kingfisher, and kites. It is an amazing destination for having romantic beach Goan dinners enjoying the beautiful foamy white waves of the Arabian Sea. Morjim beach is next to Ashwem beach and the Chapora River. It is famous as the nesting ground of the endangered Olive Ridley Turtle. There are many foreign tourists here. Most of them are from Russia, which is why Morjim beach is often referred to as “Little Russia”.

There are many resorts and restaurants near the beach the beach is famous for its  light white sand and turtles as there are many turtles found near the beach.the beach is very close to the chapora river where  you can take a ride of river cruise.

Morjim Beach is a nesting and hatching habitat of the Olive ridley sea turtle, an endangered species. They are afforded the highest degree of protection under Indian law through their inclusion in Schedule I of the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972. Egg-poaching or in any manner disturbing the turtles or their habitat is an offence punishable under Indian law.
