The Kempty falls is a waterfall located in Tehri Garhwal district in the beautiful Indian state of Uttarakhand. The falls are between the two beautiful hill stations of dehradun and mussoorie. It is a beautiful waterfall which is falling from the height of 40 ft and located at the altitude of 4500 ft above the sea level. The Falls offers a mesmerizing panoramic view as the water falls from the mountains. This is one of the beautiful and renowned waterfalls in india.
This destination was discovered by the british officer John Mekinan, around 1835. The name Kempty is probably derived from the word ‘camp-tea’. There is a pond which is formed at the middle of the falls is an excellent sport for swimming and bathing. Flight of stairs leads to the ponds where one enjoys with friends and family. One of the best ways to enjoy the view of kempty falls is from the kempty falls ropeways which will give you a breathtaking view of the mountains and lush green forests.
